GetLiving is responsible for access systems and day-to-day security across their residential buildings.
This page explains how building access and security work, what GetLiving looks after, and what to do if you have concerns about safety or access.
Building access
Residential buildings in East Village use controlled access systems to keep shared spaces secure.
These include:
- Secure entry doors
- Key fob–controlled access points
- Lift access controls
- Gates and restricted communal areas
If access systems are not working as expected, GetLiving should be your first point of contact.
For detailed guidance on using key fobs, lifts, and visitor access, see the Key Fobs and Access page.
Security and concierge services
GetLiving provides on-site security and concierge support across East Village buildings.
Their role includes:
- Monitoring building access and shared areas
- Responding to access or security issues
- Supporting residents with day-to-day concerns
- Acting as a first response for incidents within buildings
Security teams are focused on prevention, visibility, and quick response rather than enforcement.
CCTV and monitoring (high level)
CCTV is used in communal areas and shared spaces to support building security and incident investigation.
Footage is managed in line with data protection and privacy requirements. It is not monitored for routine resident activity and is accessed only when necessary.
If you need to report an incident that may involve CCTV, contact GetLiving in the first instance.
If you feel unsafe or notice something concerning
If you feel unsafe, or notice suspicious behaviour within your building or shared spaces:
- Contact GetLiving or on-site security
- Use emergency services immediately if there is an immediate risk to life or safety
Trust your judgement - it’s always better to report a concern than to ignore it.
Access issues and security faults
Contact GetLiving if you experience:
- Doors or gates not locking properly
- Faulty key fob readers
- Lift access issues
- Broken entry systems
- Lighting failures in communal areas
- Repeated unauthorised access
These issues are treated as access or security faults and prioritised accordingly.
Emergency situations
In an emergency:
- Call 999 if there is immediate danger
- Use building emergency systems where provided
- Contact Get Living as soon as it is safe to do so
GetLiving can assist with follow-up, repairs, and coordination after incidents.
