Main Transport Hubs
The area is located near two major stations, providing comprehensive access to London and the South East.
Stratford Station
Approximately a 10-15 minute walk from East Village, Stratford Station is a major interchange with services across London and the region.
- London Underground:
- Central Line: Services to the City, the West End (Oxford Street, Bond Street), and Notting Hill.
- Jubilee Line: Connects to Canary Wharf, London Bridge, Waterloo, and Westminster.
- Elizabeth Line: Provides fast services through central London, including Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road, and Paddington, with a direct link to Heathrow Airport.
- London Overground: Services to Richmond, Clapham Junction, and across North London to areas like Highbury & Islington.
- National Rail (Greater Anglia): Regular services to London Liverpool Street, as well as destinations across Essex and East Anglia, including Southend Airport.
- DLR (Docklands Light Railway): Services to Canary Wharf and London City Airport.
Stratford International Station
Located at the northern end of East Village, this station provides the following services:
- Southeastern High Speed 1: Known as the 'Javelin' service, it reaches St Pancras International in approximately 7 minutes, connecting with mainline and Eurostar services. It also provides high-speed services to Kent destinations such as Ashford, Canterbury, and Margate.
- DLR (Docklands Light Railway): Connects to Stratford, Canary Wharf, and London City Airport.
Please Note: Eurostar services to Europe do not stop at Stratford International. Passengers should use the Southeastern High-Speed service to connect to Eurostar at St Pancras International.
DLR (Docklands Light Railway)
The DLR has platforms at both Stratford and Stratford International. It provides a direct connection to:
- Canary Wharf
- The City (Bank and Tower Gateway)
- London City Airport
- Greenwich and Lewisham

A number of bus routes serve East Village, providing local connections and links to other parts of London.

Key Bus Routes
- Route 97: (24-hour service) Runs from Stratford City Bus Station to Chingford, via Leyton and Walthamstow.
- Route 108: (24-hour service) Connects Stratford International to Lewisham, travelling south under the Thames via the Blackwall Tunnel to North Greenwich (The O2).
- Route 308: Connects Stratford City to Clapton, passing through Homerton and Hackney Central.
- Route 339: Links Leytonstone to Shadwell, passing through East Village, Hackney Wick, Mile End, and Stepney Green.
- Route 388: Travels from Stratford City to London Bridge, via Shoreditch and the City of London.
Connections from Stratford Bus Stations
The Stratford Bus Station and Stratford City Bus Station provide access to many more routes across London, including the 24-hour Route 25 to Oxford Circus. National Express coach services to Stansted Airport and other UK destinations also operate from Stratford.
